Stranger No More: Welcoming the Stranger in Our Midst


“The Church is Mother, and her motherly attention is expressed with special tenderness and closeness to those who are obliged to flee their own country and exist between rootlessness and integration.” Pope FrancisThis workshop looks at the global migration trends and the Church’s response to human suffering around the world and in the United States and will provide practical tools for teaching about global solidarity.Ken Preston from Catholic Relief Services and Genevieve Levy from Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services’ Refugee Resettlement Program will provide practical resources for the students and adult learners as well as providing tangible ways for your parish and/or school to assist our brothers and sisters in need hear and around the world.
