The Religious Potential of the Youngest Children

Time(s):

Most parishes and schools do not begin providing any substantial catechesis to children until around age 6 or 7. However, this misses a very formative period of children's development up to age 6. The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a Montessori-based approach to religious formation, through which children as young as 2 1/2 begin forming deep, lifelong relationships with Christ. This workshop will introduce attendees to this profound approach, which began in Rome in the 1950s and has spread throughout the world, including over a dozen parishes and schools in the Diocese of Sacramento.
